Decided to inflict an episode of Enterprise upon myself.

The...opening...credits.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

But there are Andorians, so I think I will attempt to finish the ep.

On a different Trek note, anybody have any Voyager fic recs lying about? Particularly those bearing in mind that I have no attention span, no tolerance for Janeway/Chakotay and little for Paris/Kim.

Hm. Enterprise back on. Since when did Vulcans wear magenta? o.O

Oo, Andorians. *runs back to tube* Wait, I thought their antennae were stationary. And god, that captain is uuuuuuuuuuuuugly.

I never could either until I heard it was cancelled.

Voyager is my favorite. Not because I think it's the best--it's deeply flawed, and I spend endless hours figuring out how I might go about fixing it if I could travel back in time and rewrite it--but because I pretty much grew up with it (it aired from when I was 11 to when I was 17) and have had the characters living in my head for a decade now. But TNG is the one I think is the best.

Although that might change if I see more DS9...

haven't watched enough of the show to make judgement. But I personally like the design of the ship.

I gave up watching Enterprise after the 3rd ep, when I realized that I was watching the commercials and leaving the room when the show came back on. For ST:Voy recs, try [livejournal.com profile] crack_van; someone is doing ST:Voy this month.

What about Seven of Nine and the entire crew? ^___^

Seven...my relationship towards Seven is complicated.

:P

The entire crew I'm really rather fond of. Particularly Tuvok and Kes. And I'll read anything if it's well-written or unusual, and if I have the time. Secondary characters rock my world.

J/C is just a very overdone pairing, and not the sort of pairing I find terribly interesting. Ditto for P/K. I prefer Chakotay/Paris when it comes to common Voyager slash pairings.

And Paris/Torres is canon, so I don't bother reading about them. I'm a picky rareslasher, yes I am. :P

Ah, yes, the opening credits of Enterprise. I was so disappointed that they went with some no-name vocal artist instead of the beautiful Jerry Goldsmith of before. But it's much better when you make up your own lyrics:

It's been a long run,
Since the first Star Trek premiere.
It's been a gold mine,
It makes a profit every year.

And now I will join the ensemble cast,
My career's on high.
And I won't miss a single episode,
No, my contract's sure to bind.

`Cause I get paid,
For the part.
I'm saying what the writers tell me.

I get paid,
Every week.
Sometimes for just one scene.

I'll get rich,
From the show.
Syndication will sustain me.

I was cast,
As a star.
I get paid,
I get, I get,
I get paid.
Paid for the part.
