Soooo the plumbers are coming tomorrow, yay! And by "tomorrow" I mean "in about an hour and a half" orz orz orz orz orz Why am I awake??? Making stupid bedtime choices again, clearly. SIGH.

Anyway, going to have a nap, because if I don't I'll just be incoherent and probably get dizzy etc., but ugh it is going to SUCK and it's my own damn fault. Bleh.

Today was pretty good other than the whole not going the fuck to bed thing, though! Stardew MP day, though I did uh kinda sleep through my alarm for that so I was late. (There is a theme here...) Also mucked out the chook coop and hung out my washing and etc. And some Vintage Story of course, though it's only about half to blame for these shenanigans, the other half is getting sucked into fic, as fucking usual.

Anyway!! Naps now! Yes!

Did very little today! Less than I meant to, tbh, because I did mean to cook, but I just used up some more leftovers instead. >>;; Which isn't a bad thing! Though I've been eating a LOT of boiled eggs, hahaha. Also wanted to wash, but was thwarted due to SO MUCH WATER FROM THE SKY, heh. I should probably do it anyway and hang it up inside, and I guess I'll do that tomorrow if it remains soggy. Still, had so many really nice days with the painters here, surely they didn't take them with them when the left... :x

Other than that, mainly just Vintage Story! I've captured some chooks, though I don't have the grain to feed them yet. Have some crops growing, too, and a BIG PIT where animals who want to nom them fall in and get trapped, mwahahaha >D I did have to make it deeper than my initial estimate, because it turns out at least some of the deer can jump two blocks, but that's okay! Haven't actually SEEN any ducks yet, which is weird given the other game... I guess they'll turn up eventually? There's a bunch of bison around now that definitely weren't there the first couple of days. Kinda scary, when they're walking all over your equipment XD;; I think they killed a couple of small critters by accident, too - or, at least, I found the corpses in my base and I KNOW I didn't attack them. I guess might also be them going into the pit kilns while they're on and roasting themselves, but surely the critter AI isn't THAT dumb...

Next project is a charcoal pit, so I can melt the goddamn copper and make a pickaxe! Bleh, gonna be a PAIN. On the plus side felling all the trees to turn into charcoal should mean I finally have an excess of sticks...

Today is a day full of BAD CHEMICAL SMELLS :(

Floorboard sealant in the front of the house, unsurprisingly (and man do I have a headache from it...), but it also happened to be the day they painted the bathroom stuff, so the back of the house is equally stinky. :/ Timing is everything, as they say! It rained for a while, which is why I think the painters did so much inside stuff. Can't blame them for that! They're nearly done, fucking finally. BIG job, but they've been doing stuff properly so the time they've taken makes sense! It's just. A lot.

The floor guy has been the opposite, though, hahahaha. SO fast! Only did a half day today! My room isn't super large, which helps, but still, I'm impressed. Haven't had a GOOD look yet, because, you know, the stinky and the drying and etc., but from what I can see it looks nice! :3 Such a difference having someone who knows what the fuck they're doing makes, time wise, hahahahahaha. Anyway, need to leave that to cure for a week, so no skirting boards yet. Soon though!

Played some more Vintage Story today, though I think I'm going to restart my game. I keep messing up and trying to make my starter base somewhere that tanks my SAN, and not noticing until it's An Problem, whooooops. >>;;; And I'm almost out of the grace days before assholes start spawning and attempting to eat my face. :/ So I think I'll roll another world, and not do any exploring, just set up my starter base somewhere at-or-super-close to spawn, and try and rush through to at least having some kind of food prep stuff set up, and maybe even some farming stuff?? I want to change my character's class, too, I didn't notice yesterday but the one I picked has debuffs for everything except the three survival classes and forestry. That is. Not tenable. Gonna have to see what's up with that, honestly, seems extremely unfair - might work fine in a group setting, but for a solo game noooot so much. (There's a reason I didn't pick the same class I was playing in multiplayer, and it's not because I didn't like it!)

Anyway despite getting quite a bit of sleep last night I kept passing out all day, so that's why I'm up even later than usual. I just. BODY WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS???

Yeah today I've just been. A bit. Well, like that. Brains all over the goddamn place and thinking not so great. I blame the lack of sleep!

BUT STILL EXCELLENT THINGS HAPPENED!!!

• Got the nail strips up from the floor!
  • Swept and vacuumed it, too, so while it's still uh. Not The Cleanest, it's a lot better than it was. Was intending on mopping too, but I just. Didn't have the brain, bleh.
• THEY FIXED THE DOORS
  • Both our eternally-sticking sliding doors have been FIXED and it's AMAZING
  • Gonna be a while before we stop slamming them accidentally, 'cause we're used to needing a certain amount of force to get them to move XD
• Both cats managed to get out today (not real surprising given two of the major stopping-them-from-going-anywhere doors had to come down so they could get fixed), but they're both back in safely yay!
• HOPEFULLY have a plan to keep them out of the way tomorrow, but of course we'll see how well it works in practice.
• I think there was something else but I forget

Also the mod that's the major cause of the sound loss on the vintage story server updated and it's much improved! Not totally fixed, but SO much better.

And now I'mma go pass out for a few hours before I have to get up and get ready before the floor guy gets here, bleh. Why do tradies work so early. Why do they do this to themselves. Surely they're not all morning people??

The roof guys didn't come and talk to me at all, but they were definitely here, and they definitely did stuff! There's still a tarp on the roof though so I don't know if they're finished, or if they just left the tarp there. :/ Still, progress! We like progress!

Speaking of, I've moved my couchbed out of here, but have left the desk and computer. Tomorrow is Stardew Day, so I'm thinking I'll do that and move stuff afterwards. That way if I can't be fucked putting the computer back together I'm not gonna miss out on game! Anyway, still bits and pieces of things that need moving, so hopefully I'll do that in the morning tomorrow. SHOULD be awake, but we all know how I get. :/

What else. Uh. Oh, I went down the shops on the bike! For whatever reason it left me absolutely drenched in sweat, which is weird 'cause it's not like I was working that hard. I mean. Ebike! I was letting it do all the hard stuff! Still pretty wobbly too, definitely need better arm strength, but that'll come in time, just gotta keep at it! >:

Did play some Vintage Story as well, which was nice! Sever is feeling really lonely now, though, not a lot of people are playing any more. :( Will probably start a solo game soonish instead, but want to poke at endgame stuff I have access to in this game first hahahaha. Get some better ideas of how stuff works before I'm trying to do it by myself!

My floor's been booked in! Next Wednesday!!! :D :D :D I am SO PLEASED, yessssss.

Obviously, as soon as that happened I threw out my entire to-do list to concentrate on MOVE FURNITURE, hahahaha. Weirdly, I still got almost everything done on it, and the one thing I've missed is 'knit 5 rows on sock', which is uh. Not urgent. I'm trying to get through stuff, which is why it's on there, but move furniture more important yessss.

Anyway, got a decent enough start on it today, which pleases me! Gonna have to figure out where I'mma put the desktop, tomorrow, I think? Don't have to actually DO it tomorrow (though I might), but need to make sure wherever it is is accessible even when the rest of the stuff is stacked out there. But!!! At least this time it won't be for long at all - the floor guy says it'll just be Weds-Thursday. Two days!!! :O :O :O SO much quicker than Sibling, yesss.

So that is VERY EXCITE, yesssss :D :D :D

Other than that, I did make curry this evening! I uh managed to fuck up and burn the spices - this is why you don't cook when you're so hungry you're queasy, folks! - so it's not the best curry I've made, but it's still okay. (I woulda considered re-starting when the spices burned buuuut I also ran out of two of the more important spices, so my choices were burned-but-there or missing-something-big. So of course I picked the easier option hahahaha.)

Also some Vintage Story, because of course. Not as much as usual though, by the time I was done cooking and then getting brain back it was already almost 10, whoops. This is probably part of why I'm up at fucking almost half past five... >>;;;;

Soooo today I have not had a single nap, because I am a dumbass. Or, more to the point, I played some Vintage Story with people in the afternoon, and then went back in after food because there was a new mod Azaria got just for me, and then the next thing I know it was midnight. Which was a little late for a nap. And then of course I continued to get distracted for, apparently, FIVE ENTIRE HOURS, omfg why.

I have, however made a LOT of bismuth lanterns in Vintage Story. :3 :3 :3 Also I learned how to use the beehive kiln, and did a bunch of clay stuff, and made some pretties and prepped to make more... it was fun! But also. 5-fucking-a-m. :/

Anyway before all that, I did actually get through all the things I wanted to on my to-do list! I KNOW, SO UNUSUAL! But I've moved all my father's books back out of here, and I made brownies!!! And also did some other more boring things, of course.

But most importantly brownies! I am trying to recreate these nice ones A picked up a bunch when she was going near this one bakery regularly... Failed, but that just means I will, tragically, have to make more brownies once these have all gone... So very sad about that! Not. (The brownies are still fucking delicious! The ones I'm trying to replicate have a chocolate base. Just putting chocolate buttons in the bottom of the pan: does not work. You just have brownies with chocolate in them. Which is a different but still extremely nommable thing!)
