...in the sense of communication fail. As in, I completely forgot to announce that I would be inCalifornia for a bit.

I am now in California. Gay Area, specifically. Mostly doing family stuff , but if I can sneak out for a bit...anyone know any good kinky stores, or other fun places to hang?

This is the part where I sigh in ill-disguised envy.

If you can get to the House of Nanking for lunch, for the love of gods do so. It's crowded and noisy, the waitstaff borders on rude, the kitchen is carpeted with greasy newspapers even though it's visible from the dining room—and it is some of the best Chinese food you will ever eat in an American restaurant. Oh, and you can say, for instance, "I want something with scallops," and they'll wing it. Apparently not the cheapest place you'll ever go (it's been about 16 years for me, and I don't recall what we paid), but pretty damn cheap by SF standards.
