Well, now I know I'm a Cap/Tony fangirl: I am busily spawning my vewwy own Civil-War-fix-it-AU. (Because that is so the primary subgenre of fic in this subfandom. Civil-War-fix-it-AU's. I'm not sure I've seen a fandom more prone to denying its own canon since Evangelion--though, honestly, most canon-denying Eva fans do so because they don't understand it and how to relate it to what they're writing, and most canon-denying Cap/Tony fans do so because they get the wonderful-horrible-slashtastic-character-torture but would just like the death removed from the equation.)
(Then again, Marvel canon seems to need a lot of denying in certain places.)
(I still like parentheses.)
I think I've also written some of my longest blocks of dialogue, like, ever. BECAUSE TONY NEVER SHUTS UP.
AND IT'S REALLY PROBLEMATIC THAT I'M WRITING ANYTHING AT ALL BECAUSE I BARELY KNOW STEVE.
Damn you seductive people!
(I will so need a beta if I ever come close to finishing anything.)
Also I am determined to eventually write pr0n for this pairing, because there's so damn little of it.
I need to stop rambling now, and start typing in the massive amount of stuff (mostly Tony running off at the mouth) I wrote on the train today.
Edit: Typed that in--the one scene, not even complete, is about 2K words, and that's mostly Tony talking. (Don't worry, this isn't a sex scene. He's quieter then. He has to shut up if his mouth's busy, after all.) OMGWTF.

So I've gathered! And there needs to be more porn with them. Oh yes. And with the way my brain works, it will be as kinky porn as possible while still involving an IC Steve. ('Cause Tony is so not the sticking point for IC kinky porn here.) alsdfjal;sdjkf

My personal take on Steve is that he's not particularly naturally kinky, but he's not afraid of new things either (this is a guy who jumped 50 years in time and adjusted to a world so changed it's practically alien.) He'd be willing to do a lot of things if he saw the pleasure it was bringing to his partner.
With the exception that I don't think he'd ever want to deliberately, seriously cause pain. Dominance, sure, rough sex, sure, but not the sort of deliberate infliction of pain of S&M. Mentally accept that some people enjoy it, sure, but not him.

You should read the first fic in the series (http://crimsonquills.livejournal.com/tag/fic+%28chaptered%29:+a+meeting+of+minds) first, though.
