Oh, and also, another meme.

Ask me a question about one of my stories. It can be absolutely anything in any fic and I will tell you the honest-to-god answer. Don’t hold back. Ask about my plans for future parts of my current series if you want to, but keep in mind, I may not have anything firm/definite in the works. Anything. Whatever you ask, I will try my best to answer.
Something to distract me while I wrestle with the last few ficlet requests--which are hard.

Date: May. 31st, 2008 12:25 am (UTC)So I've always been a little weird about that fic--the fic itself is pretty much fine as it is, I think, but it is really the only time I've done full-out rapefic, and from the perpetrator's viewpoint, so eroticized, and with no attendant Issues.
It's a genre of fic I have a somewhat...mixed relationship with, which gets extremely complicated to explain.
It's not that I had a problem writing it, mind--it didn't freak me out at all. That dubious honor is reserved for only a few (mostly Arcana Viscera). I get vaguely...embarassed about it, though.
Mostly I think that boils down to not wanting somebody new to fanfiction to have that be one of the first things they click to on my site or on an archive. Rapefic is one of those incredibly strange little corners of fandom which can be very hard for non-fanficcers to understand, and trying to explain it would be...tough.
Er, right. You asked after the actual fic. The last paragraph goes a bit fast, I think, compared to the rest--it's a little rushed and less specific. If I were writing or editing now, I would've expanded that--then again, I've been turning into even more of a wordy motherfucker recently.
That was kinda a weird answer. I apologize.
