Currently homeless and unemployed. (Long story.) Will be bumming floor in friends' houses and keeping in touch how I can.

Job prefs:
Can do: admin, reception, editing, writing, basic help desk and depot repair, and basic graphic/web (old school) design. Mac and Windows literate.
Cannot do: sales, repeated heavy lifting or other pulling/grasping strain.
Need: livable pay, health insurance, sick/vacation time, Boston area (off the T okay, as I has car.)
Would like: no screwy passive-aggressive co-workers, the feeling that I'm actually accomplishing useful.

Housing prefs:
Room of my own, parking, dishwasher, laundry, cat-positive, bipolypagangeek-friendly. (This for long-term; I think I can sleep on people's floors for a month or two before I go bugfuck.) I am not one hundred percent tidy and quiet, but I would like to think I am a decent person, and trying to learn to be responsible.

If you hear anything, please let me know! (Job will have to come first; I do not have enough money to pin down an apartment until I'm employed.)

Contact info to follow in locked post.

Wow. Best of luck. I live on the North Shore, so any leads I may have would be too far from you. However, human services agencies like the ARC are all over the place and you can grab per-diem work in group homes and such pretty quick. Again, a bit far for you, but I was doing a rather boring-but-it-helped-to-pay-the-bills proofreading job for a market research company and I'm thinking there's gotta be something similar in your neck of the woods.

Well, I'm in Northwest MN, but if life takes you out this way at any point, you're welcome to my couch.

Buh-WHA?

Yiminy. There are some job listings at http://www.berklee.edu/hr/ , and if you apply you can definitely use me as a reference and it might actually mean a little something to them.

If you need a couch to surf on, we've got that, too.

I wish I could be more helpful for job finding, but I can suggest a place to stay.

Bethany Union (http://www.bethanyunion.org/apply.html) is wonderful. I have stayed there every FWT in Boston. They give you breakfast and dinner and you can even work sometimes there to get $$ of your rent. The rooms are large and the house is beautiful and it's located on fucking Newbury Street!

Give them a call and ask to speak with Lidice!

Oh and you can get a room of your own, there is parking on the street and in back, there is a dishwasher (but I don't think they like people to use it unless they are on dinner duity, there is laundry in the basement, they have a cat (but I am not sure if they would let you bring yours...) and there is free cable TV and internet.

Dropped you a comment on the next post. Add me to the list of people willing to let you couch surf for a bit.
No dishwasher here, but washer/dryer and as long as your cat gets along with my dog and cat it's cool. Just a couple of blocks walk to the T.

What's the degree in anyway? So I can keep my eyes open for leads?

Oh, dear. Happy to offer an occasional dinner at least; possibly occasional couch space too, I'll check with [livejournal.com profile] eustaciavye about it. I don't want details, but I do at least hope Cyn is coping also.

You're welcome to floor/bedspace in my room for up to three days at a time, as well as free meals. It's not going to be the most comfortable offer out there (whee, dorm cell room!), but it's an option if you're otherwise screwed. ::hugs::

I, a short time back, sent you an email regarding a place, hopefully it reached you safely. If not, give me a call, (781)720-9718, I'd be more than happy to give you the details. Hope to hear from you soon, by one means or another, and that all is well.

This surprised me. We haven't been in touch in a while, and I can't offer you anything concrete. But - Odin spent some time homeless and doing odd jobs. Just pointing it out. I hope you find your feet again soon.
