May not be the technical term, but I think I've heard it used. I think it's a spiffy design. And it's more secure than it looks, as far as not having it flop all over the place when tugged on.
You see how the two straps are attached to the upper left and upper right of the ring, making this V shape, rather than a ring dangling from a straight band? It's a subtle difference, but quite elegant, I think.
I have a few floggers, but it's been my experience that the majority of subbies come equipped with their own toys and preferences. I'm so frikkin cheap! Also, I make my own toys. Or I used to, anyway. Too much effort and I'm just so lazy.
You know what I want? One of those subbies you hear about that do house work.
