I'm thankful for a wonderful, wonderful partner, for my large and pleasant apartment with the landlord that lets us paint and keep a cat, for my car who is my freedom, and for my new spiritual path.
And that's just the big things since this spring.
I'm thankful for all my excellent friends, old and new, online or RL, platonic or beneficial, human or otherwise. I'm thankful for my own creativity and that of all the artists I admire and/or fangirl. I'm thankful for my relative physical and emotional health, for sweet air and strong earth and all the wonders of this material world, and the spiritual world that overlaps it.
I'm thankful for a delightful and intelligent family, on the whole, even if it's been rocky with the elder generations, and I'm thankful for the newest, littlest member of it.
I'm thankful that we can get by as well as we can. I'm thankful for the existence of trees and grass and wind, and roads and plumbing and the internet. I'm thankful that I found cherry cordial kisses in the CVS yesterday.
I'm thankful that I'm alive. I've been a bit too close to being otherwise.
When you get down to it, I'm thankful for pretty much everything I have, and the only big things I'm missing are a job, a dishwasher, and more than twenty-four hours in the day. Oh, and health insurance, but that should come with the job. :)
