The ten simple pleasures meme...

icarusancalion. Doing this while, yes, bored at work. But my file with the post about Edrick is at home, so that's coming later tonight.
Simple pleasures. Things that just make all those tight cords around my heart unhitch and loosen and breathe. No particular order.
1. Eating slightly over-ripe blackberries that have been well-cooked by the August sun. Blueberries count too.
2. Handing somebody an overflowing, steaming, well-decorated latte or hot chocolate and getting that happy smile which means it looks gorgeous and is exactly what they wanted to brighten their day.
3. Standing ankle-deep in the sea and daydreaming. The sea in general, really, just being close to it, strips me of insecurities and worries and small thoughts in all the best ways.
4. Hugging--people, dogs, trees, pianos.
5. Making a cat purr.
6. Wandering in a windy, peaceful field at night. Especially if it's the End of the World.
7. Thunderstorms! Especially those wild summer ones with plenty of wind.
8. Going about naked or even just topless outside where there's no stress or stigma, particularly when there's pleasant sunshine and breeze.
9. Watching something fun and geeky with people with whom I can cuddle and make stupid commentary.
10. Haven Colony, Brookline, Maine. Also the wilderness bits of Bennington and the old Camp Wildwood in Gardner.
I don't feel like tagging people--except possibly
spanielfevver8, though she's unlikely to read this--but this is a very pleasant and soothing meme to do, so I recommend it to all. :)
