GAH I want to be able to post the second chapter NOW, but I've still got two scenes and change to go! *revvs self up for a marathon write*

The scary thing, though? Word count? 10720. I'm halfway through the second chapter (plus a prologue, admittedly) and it's already two thirds the length of Arcana Viscera! WTF, mate? At this rate the full draft'll be a couple hundred thousand. I've never done anything close to that size. o.@

The word count, it scares me! And it would figure that I wouldn't do writing all day...instead I've been cleaning my room. There's a floor here and everything!

You need to see Gankutsuou. It's based off of The Count of Monte Cristo. The animation is beautiful. It's gorgeous and twisted. It has the most blatant slash pairing I've seen outside of yaoi.

The first two dvds are out in the states, but the whole thing is still available as a torrent right now, and the subs are quite good. There's even bits of French at the beginning of each episode, although those subs have been translated from the Japanese text.

There are some pretty big differences from the novel, but most of them manage to work. The plot has been stripped down and the circle of character reduced, but it makes the focus much tighter.

I should warn you that the Count will demand twisted porn. He's voiced by the same actor as Folken, and he's sexy as hell. Albert/Count is my new OTP, and it would eat my soul if there was any decent fanfiction for it. But alas, it all sucks. There's plenty of hot fanart though (Countxeveryone, really), and I'll send you the file when you're done.
