I used to hang out at MC in 2002-03... you were responsible for me getting hooked on anime, although I don't think you probably knew it. I went and bought Escaflowne on dvd after I checked out your EscaforDummies page, and ended up loving it, and from there got generally sucked in. I still use that page to link people to when I am trying to tell them why they should watch it. ;)
I've been a fan of your writing for a long time... I still think that the DMVs are the best Myst fic I've ever read. I rec them often and insistently. I love your Esca fics too, especially Saturnalia. Allen is not my favorite character, but that really made me feel for him, see him. And now you write Firefly and FMA, which is awesome. It makes me very happy. ♥
Anyway, besides friending you, I was wondering if you mind if I use a slightly modified version of an old icon (http://www.livejournal.com/userpic/40715410/1487510) you made? It's credited of course, but I'll take it down if you prefer I didn't use it. :)
I do remember the name Leenay from back in the day, though I have to admit I don't remember much else--my mind works far more like a steel sieve than a steel trap. -.-;;; But it's always good to see somebody around from old MC! :D And you don't need to worry about being shy; I'm shy too. But I don't mind friending, and I friended right back. :P

Yeah, I haven't been around for awhile... got very distracted by other fandoms combined with lack of interest in Uru, since I couldn't play it, and ended up kind of drifting out of the fandom, but I'm still very fond of the Myst universe and have good memories of MC. I keep trying to get to Mysterium again, and haven't had money or time off at the right times the last couple years. :/
My favorite shows besides those are X, Bleach, Yami no Matsuei, Gravitation, Prince of Tennis and Gundam Wing--I write Yugioh fic also, but I prefer the manga. Lots of others... most of them are in my interests, I think. (Dear god, I have too many interests. Teh eljay won't allow them all. XD)
Depends on how new the new ones are... I think the last person I gave them to was katran_sama, and I sent her the file I have saved on my hard drive, so it might be the old ones. I think you had revised them when you wrote and posted the last one, and that is the version I have. I will have to look.
(And yes, please finish it! I really liked it so far, and would love to see more of it.)
As for the icon... it's been awhile since I made it, though I am just now using it, but IIRC I took the wallpaper you made of it and shrunk the larger cut of it down to lj icon size. Still crediting you, since I doubt it would have occurred to me to icon it that way if you hadn't done it first. ;)
