From the internetless wilds of Boston and from the excessive preoccupation with a Law & Order marathon. Took a few pictures; will post when I figure out how to upload. Discovered that the MFA admission fees are fucked, Pearl Art didn't have anything I wanted, the Prudential Center is fun, and the BDSM store in Central Square continues to be unfindable.

Bought almost nothing. Am very proud of self. Though I did indulge in some orgasm gummies (long story) and a button that reads "Beam me up--they're not hiring here either."

Have just realized that I'm taking my driving exam on Black Friday. *headdesks repeatedly* Fortunately the registry in question isn't near any malls. I think. AUGH.

Should get off my ass and do something, but I really kinda don't want to.

Ankles and hands both giving me extra trouble as of late.

Got a few more imps.

Still writer's-blocked.

Hi, [livejournal.com profile] heavenscalyx! From whence the stealth friending? :)

Am alive. Really, that's the point of the entry.

What, are you looking for Hubba Hubba, or is there another BDSM store in Central Square?

Hubba Hubba's hiding a bit. If you walk down Mass Ave, inbound (on the side with: Putnam Furniture) from the T-stop exit, it's on the right hand side of Mass ave, before Burger King, near an Italian Shoe store. It's recessed kinda, and it's got all this crap in the window. They should have a sign (not out over the street, but above their front).

Hi! Have been reading your public entries off and on. :) Finally clicked the damn button. I always stealth-friend.

I could probably describe where to find the store in Central, if it's the one that's on Mass Ave. Used to walk past it all the time.

If you were looking for Hubba Hubba, don't bother. It's not a particularly nice store. It's kind of musty, they don't have much of interest, and my experience has been that the clerks are creepy.

Agreed. Their selection is not great. I'd rather go to Grand Opening (a bit lacking in the BDSM department, to be sure), order online, or wait for the FFF.

But it would still be good to do some window-shopping, which is what I want anyway, 'cause I'm broke. If only to remind myself that, yes, BDSM actually does exist and is not just a delusion of the internet and my own twisted mind.

They have hair dye in colors that the Garment District doesn't always have, though, as well as pretty costumey clothing that I will not buy but may someday try to emulate with my newfound sewing skillz... (petticoats, skirts, and corsets, oh my!) It's right up the street from my dorm, I was just there today getting more Deep Purple (one of those not-at-Garment-District shades). The particular clerk today wasn't creepy, though perhaps a bit annoying/HotTopic. Other places are probably better for actual sketchy things if you plan to buy/use them as opposed to just looking at them being shiny in the store... but yay for window-shopping :)

It's Hubba Hubba and I haven't been there for years...it brings back memories of my youth...Here's the URL:
http://www.hubbahubba.com/. I'll give you a ride one of these days because I need to do some holiday shopping in that area anyway. -amysue (who will close her eyes when you shop and silently chant "I know nothing")
