So I woke up this morning to find the sun pouring pleasantly through the window, a d4 in my bed, and a friendly cat demanding butt-scritchies. Life was geeky joy, if a little bumpy to sleep on--for I did wander into the kitchen, hold up the said d4 (one of mine, so I didn't feel whiny), and comment to
heavenscalyx and
akycha that that was what had been poking into me all night. But it was a nice squishy futon, so I still slept like a log.
The campaign was an assload and a half of fun, with endless snacks and a cake to faint for, and my barbarian kicked sufficient ass (major killing blows to TWO MANTICORES, baby!) to justify her character class, and there were people! Delightful geeky people who I have now all commenced stalking on LJ. And we ran out of time considerably before we ran out of dungeon (technically before we even reached dungeon, but there were more than enough monsters on the way there), so I even have an excuse to see them all again for the next round. XD
Also got to roam Newbury Street a little and restock an essential staple I'd been running low on (yes, lube, sue me) and discover that Urban Outfitters is obscenely overpriced and play with the sexuality section of Trident, which is the best evah (outside of an actual sex shop, of course). Was bitterly cold, though--fourteen plus the windchill funneled down the street--and I was wearing a not-wool skirt, a t-shirt, a crocheted jacket, and a thin wool coat, no hat, nothing. So I didn't roam far. Brrr.
Ogled lots of men on the subway. I want one, darnit.
Also got introduced to Final Fantasy VII-X.2, in the form of intro movies and bits of game play involving villains nancing about on the backs of dragons. Goooood crack! And borrowed fansubs of Kizuna and--what I'd been looking for with my pathetically limited resources for aaaaaaages--Ai No Kusabi.
Some of the happier two days of my life as of late. So much goodness and goodpeople. And cats. :}
Related only to the D&D line, Edrick is pestering me to finish the post about him, so that may come later tonight. And I got tagged for a delightful meme by
icarusancalion, but that may be the morning, as I am pleasantly exhausted.
