Lucius was sacked as a school governor after the Chamber of Secrets incident, right?

If so, I suppose we don't get to see him interviewing Lupin and Moody. Well, he might be able to getin an interview with Lupin as his swan song--and a very interesting interview that would be--but no interview with Moody.

Although I suppose that's just as well, seeing as an interview with Moody would probably go more like this.

Lucius: Crap. It's you. Tea?

Moody: Certainly not.

Lucius: *sighs* This was Dumbledore's idea, wasn't it?

Moody: You bet your evil behind.

Lucius: Allow me to remind you that I do have a lot of influence in this matter.

Moody: Come off it, laddie. After that nasty affair with Grinboy Lockhart or whatever his name was, even fewer people want the job. I know I was the only one to apply. And you don't want to piss off Dumbledore right now.

Lucius: Allow me to be subtly evil yet compellingly sensual and hint that there's something I want you to do.

Moody: Allow me to remind you that I can legally cast Cruciatus.

Lucius: *grumble*

Moody: Face it, laddie, I'm getting the job, and if you think you can change my mind about anything or get me to shag you, your secretary probably wants some of what you're smoking.

Lucius: Why do you call me 'laddie', anyway?

Moody: Because I knew you as a firstie. Allow me to embarass you badly with references to your big woogly-eyed crush on Tom Riddle.

Lucius: *facepalms* Will you please just go away?

Moody: My pleasure. See ya at Hogwarts, laddie.

Lucius: *twitch*

But we still get Quirrell. Must find pictures of Ian Hart.

Gad, I'm tired. But I stayed up 'til far too late writing smut (next bit of the Tom/Lucius is almost ready), and then Mum woke me up far too early. *le sigh*

There was something else I wanted to say, but I forget what it was. Oh, well. I have a mad urge to try absinthe now, and the sneaking suspicion it's illegal in my country. Short-term, though, is acquiring my daily dose of caffiene. *wobbles off to the coffeemaker*
