I'm just new to the Utena fandom, and I know it's a little abrupt for me to be making broad statements like this, but I do so love reading and writing good fanfiction and being in good writer's communities, and that sort of thing seems so scarce in this fandom. And I've found some, some fantastic stuff at times, but I haven't found any really good communities for it, even now when it's widely available, and there could be more...so much more...

All the netspeak, the Mary Sues, the people who think Touga is anything but an asshole! The people who don't even really understand the series, just mess around in it without loving it! Utena deserves better!

I want to gather up all the good writers and make them sing, make the fandom live! There's so much potential, so little fic...there could be so much more...

Silliness aside, the community is now started, and I actually should have posted this a few days ago, but kept getting sidetracked by work.
I've probably invited quite a few of you already--check here and see--but I've probably also forgotten quite a few. (It's moderated, though not closed, membership for the time being, more out of paranoia that somebody who writes sheer badfic will join than anything else.)
