Reposted an Utena ficlet. Reorganized my memories--more fic, more up-to-date, better-labeled. Updated the WIPlist. Updated my userinfo, only to notice the embarassingly large number of people I haven't surveyed to fiend back.

Have felt a sharp downswing in reviewing recently. Is this because of summer? Because people have finally noticed I'm a skank who doesn't reply/review back? Because I hop between fandoms like a frog and nobody can keep track of me anymore? Because I'm getting dull in my old age? Because I'm not finishing your favorite WIP? Am I being a shirk and not properly maintaining my fandom friends? Should I commence worm-eating?

I don't want to sound like a review whore, but part of the reason I love fanwriting so much is because of the kind of mass and immediate feedback one can get, and I feel like I've fallen back under everyone's radars. If nothing else, it's unsettling to repost the DMVs--the pieces I still, perhaps wrongly, think of as my greatest claim to fame in any fandom--and hear not a peep.

I'm a fandom butterfly and, frankly, an asshat about starting/promising things and not finishing them. Somehow I have a suspicion this is catching up to me. But then I return to the fandom I consider my home (Myst) and finally do finish something and, well...

Back when I was writing original stuff and had no friends and no readers, I felt like I was writing into a void, but I was comfortable with that. Then I fell into fan writing communities and, frankly, got spoiled rotten. And now I feel like I'm shouting into a void again.

Bah. That's enough wank for one day. I probably sound like an asshat. Nobody's reviewing me anymore, whine, bitch, moan. Off to cook dinner and make myself useful.

On a practical note again: don't know whether I'll have quite as much internet access now that the family member whose computer I've been using is home from vacation starting tonight. Incoherent sentences, whee. But I'll be around one way or another. And I've been spending most of my internet access reading Firefly fic and not reviewing, so it's not like anyone will miss me.

I also owe you an explanation of my little drama moment earlier, but dinner is going to be late as is. *scuttles off*

*purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* at both of you

You have no idea what a relief it was to know somebody had read them. *sigh* I hate being a feedback junkie.

Gallifrey...could swear I recognize that name. Have you been posting at MC? *is out-of-touch with the newbies*

I'm most active at the Uru/Myst Obsession boards, but I have posted a bit at MC. I've written a poem about the brothers there (entitled, well, "Brothers"), and it was inspired by the DMVs. :)
