I am posting to apologize for missing various people's birthdays, particularly pogrebin's. *belated birthday LOFF*

I am posting to say that I need to update my friendslist and friendsback various people who have friended me and other such things, but am too retracted from the social world in all aspects (FWT has been weird on me this year) to do so. So consider this a raincheck greeting, people who have friended me recently. *waves*

I am posting to say that I now am the proud owner of all of Evangelion, and the last two episodes make perfect sense when you match them up to the movie. Well, maybe not entirely. But especially the first one. And it actually explains what the hell was going on in Rei's head. *purrs*

I am posting to say that I am also the proud owner of all of Utena, partially thanks to Caroline, and my god, it is so brilliant and hot and deeply, deeply disturbing. And Akio and Anthy are both The Sex, in abundance. And the fact that Touga and Akio are practically screwing in canon just makes me happy. And Nanami became a character, which rocked. And Akio and Anthy are still both The Sex. When I get back and can interact with internet easily, will make icons, oh my precious.

I am posting to say that the pads on the bottom of a cat's feet are the softest things ever.

I believe that is all.

YOU MUST GET BERSERK. Tell me you'll get Berserk. It's one of my favorite series ever, and it's got politics and history and military conquests and tactics and magic and murder and GAY SUBTEXT OUT OF THE WAZZOO and YES.

It has two pretty male protagonists--well--er--one of them is pretty, the devious, ambitious one. The more plain-hearted, brutish one is more handsome than pretty.

BUT MY GOT THEY ARE SO HAWT. And the plot was #$*^ing gorgeous. (Except for the last episode, which is the only thing that stands in the way of making this the best series of all time.)

You know how you like Spike/Vicious? Yeah? You'll love Gatts/Griffith. Trust me on this. (Gatts and Griffith are the protagonists I'm talkin' about.)

Wow. From what I'd heard, I didn't know Beserk was actually either cool or good. Now I regret not seeing it at anime club last term. (Although I wouldn't have been able to see all of it; would've missed some episodes. Like the first ones. And, especially given the first anime series I saw was Escaflowne (the most non-episodic plotty thing of all time, where if you miss one episode you're utterly lost), I'm averse to that on principle.)

While we're reccing anime to each other, ever seen Utena? *points at icon* Bizarre and wonderful and intense symbolism and swords and hot chicks cross-dressing, and a really rather unique visual style, and incest and longing and eroticism and darkness and twistedness and bisexuality and gay of all possible gender combinations out the proverbial wazoo. And Akio, who is the sexiest [and creepiest] goddamn thing of all time, amongst the men. And Anthy, ditto, amongst the women. And Miki, whom you will likely love for the chanslash potential, especially given all the times Touga mooches around with his shirt open and starts hitting on him. And...and...

'Course, if you knew all of this already, I'd feel silly. But I can't see you not at least liking it, if not loving it.

And Beserk does sound way cooler than I thought it was. Should perhaps be able to borrow it from somebody next term...
