Observations of unslept self.
Apr. 9th, 2003 10:43 pmYes, that was my first actual all-nighter.
Slept 2 hours of the past 36. Nearly keeled over in digital arts class--had some very odd experiences with distancing of reality even with my eyes open. Have had some spacey moments as well; my participation in RL conversation has often consisted of staring blankly at the person talking and hovering somewhere between annoyance and apologies. Have also had some highly energetic and alert moments. Felt rather nauseous upon attempting to eat a big breakfast because I was quite hungry; did not each much for lunch or dinner. Eyes also quite tired; could not keep screen in focus for first half hour of digital arts. More alert than I expected to be, tho.
Workshop somewhat useful. Didn't come away with much feedback on exposition--which I'm taking to mean there weren't any glaring problems with it, because at least one of the two fellows I was workshopping with did not hesitate to point out things he had issues with. Did come away with some interesting thematic stuff. On the other paw, quite frustrating, as the half-hour time limit prevented us from getting more than four pages in the nine I stayed up all night to write. *bangs head*
Tabby, I do so want to chat and OLDfic, but if you come on later tonight and I'm not there, I've finally keeled over, and if I'm in an oddly surly mood, you know why. *slurp*
