No spoilers, of course, because this is referring to The Fucking Morning After.

- OMGWTFBBQ.

- I was perfectly cast. Dude. This is one of those characters who'll be staying with me.

- OW MY HEART. See the perfectly cast. OW. It's been a while since I had a good in-character crying jag. It's oddly one of my favorite things about deep roleplaying. And there's the sort of post-cathartic giddiness, once you can drop character in wrap, with all of the good and none of the bad, because well, in the end, it isn't your life.

- Though my character shared a few of my issues; though that may have, in large part, been me projecting. I'd love to know how different versions of her were played. (Or him. I know there's been a lot of gender-changing over the years.)

- When most people you pass drop character to ask "Are you okay?" and you can cover your badge, grin, and say, "Out of character, fuck yes," you are having a good in-character nervous breakdown. :D

- I will refrain from waxing literary-metaphysical at the moment, for fear of spoilers, but yes, interesting things.

- DEAD. FROM. LARP.

In unrelated news, as far as the family gathering I had to skip the dead dog (WOE skipping a dead dog for a game like this!) for, MY NIECE IS SMALL AND CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE.

Plus, I like sleeping with you and I like sleeping with him. And I presume that you guys would like to sleep with each other. TMA is pretty awesome, though I wish I had played in it once I knew more about myself as a LARPer- since it was my first LARP, I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing and generally spent half of it hiding in a stairwell napping.


Says something about how good it is that I'm still LARPing instead of thinking "oh, that was boring, not doing it again".

I've never done LARP but I've done lots of online freeform roleplay over the years, and its always been extremely cathartic. I call it my "do-it-yourself experential therapy". Heh.

It so, so is. Admittedly this time a little less so, as I've had a harder time letting go of it afterwards--mostly because I had to skip the post-LARP party and am still missing fair chunks of plot and character stuff, so there's a lot I don't know about the game overall. But, yeah, very cathartic. :D

Aww, that is very sad. People do bill it a lot as Baby's First LARP, as it were, but I think that depends immensely upon casting and having experienced LARPers and/or players you have good chemistry with around you, so you don't wind up flailing around by yourself.

May I ask (screen or email if necessary) who you were playing?

I have, indeed, long wanted to sleep with another redhead! And I must apologize for not following up on the Columbus-day-weekend thing. I was exhausted, low on vacation time, and had utterly lost my sex drive. (Perhaps it's in one of these boxes I haven't had time to unpack yet?) I do hope I'll find it by January, though, as that's a while to go without.

Any particular time in January, and your town or mine?

Hopefully your town. I am not sure when in January yet as I have not really made concrete plans for January yet except to get laid a lot. Are there any times in January that are better or worse for you?
