It didn't.

Got there, stood in line, went up to the policeman, and discovered that I was scheduled not for this Friday, but for Friday a month from now.

So there was no test of my driving ability one way or another. I did, however, prove that I am too stupid to read a calender.

I tend, when people are angry at me, to wait until things have calmed down to apologize and just hide, in the meantime, so that I don't get yelled at--because my guilt-trips are more than enough punishment on their own.

Is there something wrong with this? It's always seemed reasonable to me, but it never does to anybody else.
