Unusual modes of accomplishment!

*facepalms* Here I am trying to write hot kinky lesbian porn and it's coming out...boring. This isn't fair. Hot kinky lesbian porn shouldn't be able to be boring.

In the meantime, however, we shall reap the rewards of other endeavors.

First off, super-quickie recording of a slightly modified version of one of the shortest of those requestficlets I did, mostly done to test what I sound like if I give up on stopping myself from falling really low, which for some reason is my normal speaking register: Salt, Envy/Roy, abstract weirdness.

Second, ART!

Well, only sortof. I didn't draw it; I don't exactly draw much, and you should probably be happy for this, all things considered. It was pretty much me dicking around with my new colored pencils and one of the animator's sketches of Anthy (Utena, a few fandoms over); I started it long ago and only just finished it. ANALOG COLORING OMG. Probably not the best job in the world--I'm not exactly an artist--but I still wanna show it off 'cause I'm frickin' PROUD. :P



Thumbnail links to whole pic. Probably not the world's best scan, either, but colors match at least--maybe a little more intense, which I don't mind, 'cause intensity can be hard with colored pencil. And it's small, but too much larger and you get a lot of pencil grit and start to notice that the original pic I printed out wasn't exactly high-res itself.

Attention: surveyage!

Background: Okay, so, a while back somebody started fellytone_fic, which was a community for people to record and post themselves reading alout HP fanfiction. To which I said coolness!, except it was HP-only and I'm multi-fandom. And then there was podslash, also much with the ass-rockage, which was multi-fandom but slash only, and I write gen and het and yuri too (although admittedly not as much). So basically, I think fic recording comms are a really neat idea, but I'm multi-fandom and multi-genre and deplore fandom and genre delineations and prejudices. So basically, I want to make an all-fandom, all-genre fic-recording comm. Any fandom, any rating, gen, slash, het femslash, anything.

But then I started thinking, 'cause I like reading aloud so much, wouldn't it be fun, too, to have a place where we could share readings of ActualOMGPublished! works? Poetry, short stories, chapters of favorite novels, Harry Potter impressions, whatever? This would again be all genres, all styles--poetry and prose, genre and mainstream, fiction and nonfiction, basically anything that might be interesting or fun to read aloud.

And then I started turning further possibilities over and drowning in a whirl of ideas. Bubble bubble, gurgle gurgle.

And then I sat back and thought, dude, would anybody be interested in any of this anyway?

And, extra-finally, please pimp this! (Where appropriate and not void by law, of course. And I dislike my current layout enough that you should take it as a startlingly good sign that I want total strangers to see it. :P) I want opinions from people beyond just my friendslist, since theoretically if I create either of these comms, they'd also involve people beyond just my friendslist, people in fandoms I'm not in, etcetera, etcetera. Let's start a revolution of fen with microphones, wot!

Recording request from kapera: Crocheting Time: Hidden Rooms, which was a little attempt of mine to bridge canon between Myst and Revelation (i.e., why the hell are THOSE books still intact?), with apologies to sepdet for the title.

*headdesks repeatedly* AUGH this recording kicked my ASS. Because I kept having volume trouble, and dialogue incosistency, and having to page back and forth between programs as I was recording, and I was trying to work standing up instead of sitting so my voice didn't get cramped up (this only just ocurred to me, 'cause I'm brilliant like that) and then when I was editing it the program kept crashing whenever I took out some of the mic spazzes, so there're some bumps and hisses, and my Marrim voice was inconsistent (I can't do perky; are we surprised?), and my Atrus voice was on crack, and AUUUUUGH.

But I finished it. *ded*
