tech rehearsal is actually not that bad, as long as one remembers to bring a large amount of reading material, since nobody cares if you spend the entire time holed up in the dressing room reading. i'm getting lab credit for reading Robin Hobb. go me!
i finished Assassin's Apprentice. Chade rocks. very much so. so does Lady Patience. and the Fool. Galen was a total asshole. last paragraph (not counting epilogue) very touching. Fitz quite tormented, and i suspect he will only be more so as the story proceeds. wheeee, character abuse!

finally got the LARP i'm in back together recently. suitably evil shit happened. there was much lemon-scented tension between two characters. i informed shelly (playing our quite overcompetent villain) quite straightfacedly halfway through the episode that i was pretty sure her character's patron was the guy who'd raped my character's mother. her reactions were amusing. Cheryl is currently half cut off from her power and stuck in a death trap of a maze, her only current companion being a half-taught fire mage also half cut off from her power with whom she does *not* get along. the only two members of the party with which she did get along are being held hostage. next episode should be fun.
