Random update: because I felt like it.
Nov. 7th, 2004 12:38 amGoing through such an asexual and antisocial phase that I preferred cleaning up my room to cuddling with the girlfriend.
Room very clean.
Because I feel like it, my DVD collection.
Multi-disc series:
Cowboy Bebop. One of those three-disc pirates, because I had no money at the time. But one of the nice ones with readable subtitles.
Dune. Sci-Fi channel version, special edition. Wouldn't have bothered (Triangle Man! Fake Irulan!) except that it was stunningly cheap and I had a gift certificate.
Firefly. Because Joss provideth well. Officially joint-owned with the girlfriend.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. Full set of the official release, but the first version. Had no idea the Platinum was coming out when I bought it. Sigh.
Now and Then, Here and There. About the first anime I bought totally sight-unseen. I'm a few episodes in; it's good. (Sara, there's torture.)
Revolutionary Girl Utena. Full set of the official release, partly from holiday money, partly because a friend had a half.com incident which resulted in her getting an extra copy of the third season.
The Vision of Escaflowne. Another pirate, because this was from years ago when I really didn't have money. And the subtitles are rather with the Engrish. "I hug you up." Wee! I also have the second volume of the official release, because I happened across it cheap, but I'm probably going to hold out for a nice inexpensive used copy of the new boxset release rather than continuing to pick up single volumes.
Two disc movies:
The Crow. Because it was gothy and on sale.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Due to various holidays, virtually everyone in my family has a copy of this thing.
Pirates of the Caribbean. Because it was Deppy and on sale.
Star Treks II and VI, special editions of course.
Single discs:
Anna Russell: The First Farewell Concert. Classical music stand-up comedy, with Wagner.
Batman Returns. Also gothy and on sale.
Blue Velvet.
The Cell.
Chicago--not the actual movie, the random bonus disc that came with the soundtrack.
Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Came with the series, pirate.
The End of Evangelion. I believe this is the only DVD I own which I actually bought full price (not on sale or from bargain bin) from a non-discount store (i.e., not K-Mart or Best Buy or such). Because the moment I saw it at Newbury Comics on a random trip I went SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! and shelled out thirty bucks. Stupid anime marketing.
Ghostbusters. Has extras.
Ghostbusters II. Does not have extras. Feel gypped.
Merlin. TV miniseries.
A Midsummer Night's Dream. The recent cheesy Hollywood one. I actually haven't even watched it; it was a Wal-Mart bargain-bin piece of randomness.
The Pit and the Pendulum. Roger Corman and Vincent Price and cheesy goodness. With torture.
Revolutionary Girl Utena: Adolescence of Utena. My personal freebie from a half.com fuckup.
Richard III. Ian McKellan, my GODS. What he does with Richard makes Magneto look as tame and fluff as a hamster.
Samurai Jack: The Premiere Movie. Let's hear it for bargain bins.
Shamanic Princess. Random anime miniseries.
Suicide Kings. In honor of
mentalhygiene.
The Thirteenth Floor. The bargain bin strikes again.
Titan A.E. Another bargain bin acquisition I've never actually watched.
There. That was pointless. Mwahahahahaha!
Gurk. Need to write Riddlesquaredporn. This is going to be hard when I'm asexual.
