Yes, yes, I know, you are not too happy with the fic at the moment and, probably, going to edit it, but I still think it's the most beautiful canon compliant story there is. You don't know me and I'm about nine million years late on this, but: I'm not in this fandom in any more than a 'liked the books' kind of way and have never read a Harry Potter slash fic in its entirety in my life, but I stumbled across the version of this fic you have on your website through a Journalfen link and was captivated from the start. Wow. Normally a fic that was posted so long ago would be nothing but something I read, appreciate and don't comment on, since I'm late on the bandwagon.

But I recently found this and read it and I have to say it was too amazing and perfect. The ending had me in tears, just so poignant and sad. This this proof, irrefutable proof, that there exists such a thing as amazing fanfiction (much to the disbelief of my friends). Thank you for writing this. I don't think I've ever read another fic that hit me so hard.
